cont., II. SOME COMPELLING EVIDENCE

B. TAKE A LOOK WITHIN US.

1. Encoded instructions (The evidence of a creator from the study of DNA)

The existence of God gives us the most reasonable explanation for the DNA code which basically controls the functions of all life on earth. The opposite theory, random chance, would have to mean that extremely complex DNA code that is similar to the code that runs computers, suddenly appeared in perfect sequence. Otherwise, it never would have the ability to do what it does. Most computer programs don’t run right until debugging occurs. If DNA suddenly appeared then who did the debugging?

“An intelligible communication via radio signal from some distant galaxy would be widely hailed as evidence of an intelligent source. Why then doesn’t the message sequence on the DNA molecule also constitute prima facie evidence for an intelligent source? After all, DNA information is not just analogous to a message sequence such as Morse code, it is such a message sequence. Could life evolve randomly from inorganic matter? Not according to mathematicians.” Charles B. Thaxton, PhD in Chemistry and Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University

Each DNA molecule is a micro-machine factory. And, inside cells, hundreds of thousands of machines are constantly working to carry out the orders of the DNA. Scientists now know that there are hundreds of molecular, cellular machines in each cell. Each person begins as one cell or from one cell and then 3 trillion cells will eventually form and do their complex things in the adult human body. The DNA sets all of this up and controls it.

Someone put the program in there. Who came up with the program? Or, was it just by accident? In his book, The Language of God, Francis Collins, a former atheist and director of the Human Genome Project, gives us clear evidence that leads us to the conclusion from his exhaustive study of DNA that there is an intelligent designer behind it.

2. Irreducible complexity (The evidence of a creator from the study of the human cell)

The existence of God provides the most reasonable explanation for complex, functioning biological systems, organisms and subsystems that could not come into existence from a gradual evolutionary process. These systems would have ceased to exist long before they reached the present state that we observe today. The random chance theory states that these systems would have had to take gigantic leaps from basic to complex with no predetermined process or outside programming or intervention.

“The result of these cumulative efforts to investigate the cell iat a molecular level is a loud, clear, piercing cry of design. The result is so unambiguous and so significant that is must be ranked as one of the greatest achievements in the history of science. The discovery rivals those of Newton and Einstein.” Michael Behe, Darwin’s Black Box

“As we delve further into the cellular world, technology is revealing black boxes within previous black boxes. As science advances, more of these black boxes are being opened, exposing an “unanticipated world” of enormous complexity that has pushed the theory of evolution to a breaking point.” Michael Behe

“If in the process of impartial scientific logic, they find that creation by outside super-intelligence is the solution to our quandary, then let’s cut the umbilical cord that tied us down to Darwin for such a long time. It is choking us and holding us back.”
