My prayer is that this series would help us as a church go to the next level to love people in our community. The only way that we’re going to be ready to do that is to love each other right here in our midst. What does that mean that God has uniquely wired you? WIRED is an acrostic.
Working Spiritual Gifts
What am I gifted to do? Spiritual gifts are special abilities given by God to followers of Christ for serving people. Some of the working spiritual gifts are having mercy, encouraging others, leading people and teaching the truths of Bible.
1 Peter 4 [10] Based on the gift they have received, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God.
Individual Style
Where does my personality best suit me to serve? God has made you in a very unique way … you are not an accident. God uses all kinds of personalities … there’s a place for your individual style to serve and make a difference in a church community.
Isaiah 44 [2] This is what the LORD says— he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Do not be afraid.
Real Talent and Natural Abilities
What natural talents and skills do I have that God wants to use?
There are different abilities to perform service… 1 Corinthians 12:6
Experience
How does my life story impact my journey with God and others? Our life experiences growing up, within our families, in college, at work … are not just a bunch of random incidences. They are ordained by God to shape and prepare us for a unique life of serving and caring for others.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Cor 1:3-4
Desire
God-given passion that compels me to an impact somewhere.
What do I love to do? Snap fingers … do anything … not fail … what would you do?
For it is God who works in you, inspiring both the will and the deed, for his own chosen purposes. Philippians 2:13
