Just Walk Across the Room – Why?

When we realize the power in taking the time to just walk across the room to people who need Christ and touch their lives in simple, ordinary ways – it will radically change the way we share your own faith journey in Christ with others.

The paradigm is this: outreach can be as simple as taking a walk across a room. And taking a walk across a room is something we can all do, wouldn’t you agree? During this blogging series, you’ll discover natural ways that we can reach out to people as a church that are far from God. You’ll learn how to clearly and humbly tell your own faith story in 1 minute or less and we’ll explore how to spread God’s love through something as simple as a walk … to make yourself available to people who need Christ.

Why would we get into something like this on a Sunday morning? Two things – 1 – Jesus wants us to share our faith story with others – Matthew 28 [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.; 2 – We’ll never be all that God wants us to be unless we engage in being part of the Great Commission — ILLUS – Pond with infow and outflow — same with the Christian life. During this series – it’s my prayer that God would capture our hearts and truly internalize his incredible, huge love for people who don’t know him — in such a way that we feel compelled to share his story with others.
