Just Walk Across the Room – The Power of a Story

As continue to learn how to become walk-across-the-room kind of Christ-followers – as we learn how to become a walk-across-the-room kind of church, we need to deal with two questions first:

• How do we talk about God in a way that’s clear and passionate – and even contagious?
• How do we convey our personal faith stories in a way that’s humble and interesting?

God gives us the amazing privilege of joining him in his primary work on this planet: helping people connect with Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5 [18] And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. [19] For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. [20] So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us.

When we meet Jesus … and experience inner transformation — or when God really grips our hearts with his heart for people … something happens inside — that causes us to want to tell his story and our own faith story with others.
